Bergdorf’s A Love Story

Bergdorf’s is in the air. The swank Fifth avenue fashion mecca has inspired such an incredible passionate adoration and fervent dedication among it’s sophisticated patrons that it inspired the phrase “Scatter my ashes at Bergdof’s” as depicted in the iconic New Yorker cartoon. On May 3rd the film with the same name will debut in Bergdof’s and feature a myriad of personal anecdotes from heavyweights in the fashion industry from Diane Von Furstenberg to Oscar De la Renta to The Olsen Twins. The film gives a behind the scenes peek into the exclusive institution and also gives a look into the glamourous  life of the eccentric and exquisite Betty Halbreich, 85 year old personal shopper at Bergdorf’s and a fashion institution in her own right. Halbreich (pictured) has dressed celebrities, socialites and fashioni for over a quarter of a century    (Lena Dunham is working on an HBO show based on Halbreich’s fabulous life ) and her tremendous grace, style and her accuracy for sizing up her clientele has earned her status as a fashion legend.
